The Star Festival

Today, 7th July, is "the Star Festival". It seems to be called "the Vega Festival", "the Festival of the Weaver" and "legendary once-a-year rendezvous of two stars in the Milky way". I supposed this festival is held all over the world. At least, all the people know something about this festival. However, it is in Japan. To say the least, it is not available in Canada, where my teacher of the English conversation class came from.

In Japan, this festival is called "Tanabata", which is translated into "seventh twilight" directly. This is on the basis the myth that "Orihime" (a princess) and "Hikoboshi" (a guy) can meet each other across a river, the Milky Way", referred to as "Ama-no-gawa" (the river across the Galaxy) just only once in a year . But, this myth also says they cannot see each other if clouded, because the river is filled up. Therefore, this is passed down as a lamentable story from generation to generation.

We usually say that "You're like Orihime and Hikoboshi." when the couple cannot see each other very often. It was clouded today. Alas! They cannot see each other. Regarding me? Umm... Please introduce cute girls to me.
